NEW CASUALS
Underground, syth-based and drum and bass is the staple music of this clique. Usually football mad and way into clubbing, new casuals are always searching for a new tune or artists that no one has heard before and couldn't care less about mainstream music culture.
They usually consist of middle class males in cities who emerged from their early teen years of listening to drum and bass and have moved on to chilled out electronic music they can listen to with their mates over beers and a game of football on the telly. Often fiercely loyal to their favourite artists who are usually the kind that push the boundaries and experiment with new kinds of music.
Their fashion choices is reflective of their taste in music, understated and very well thought out. They spend huge amounts of time and money to develop their styles and remain innately cool.
INDIE SCENESTERS
Indie scenesters are always on the move when it comes to fashion and music. They draw a lot of inspiration from hipsters and alternatives when it comes to music and fashion but they're usually more for spreading their love of music and fashion rather than keeping it all to themselves.
Usually scenesters are dedicated building up their collection of vintage vinyls and starting their own bands. However, more recently scenesters have started to steer away from their guitar roots and head for more synth based music such as electronic.
Their fashion is very simple and functional. Usually consisting of skinny jeans, all-star convers and some form of vintage or printed t-shirt with a possible hat. They're very balanced when it comes to the sexes and age is usually at the young adult range of 16-25.

I wanted to find out what my audience would want in a magazine like mine so I relied on my Facebook friends (again) to find out what they'd like to see.
Most of them said what you'd usually expect to hear from you audience. Things like 'Interviews and posters concerning that lastest and greatest artists from the genre. This is of course a staple of a music amagzine but it's good to hear that the audience still wants to see some of the traditional articles in my magazine.
A couple people gave some really cool ideas that I don't think have been tried before. One person suggested that I have an instructional on how to properly execute some dance moves. That'd be a pretty cool idea as there are many different dance crazes coming and going such as twerking, shuffling and other new forms of dance.
Another person suggested a yes/no flowchart that guids you towards new artists and new genres. I thought thish was an amazine idea as my magazine is based around helping people explore new genres within electronic music.
A lot of peole said they'd want to see upcoming concerts or new trends that current artists are liking or are think will become popular. I find that concert tickets and linups are almost always put in magazines and I would be unwise not to incorperate that into mine. Part of this was to showcase clubs or venues that play new types of music which I think is a really cool idea as it'll be more engaging for the reader as they'll be able to go and find this club or concert and have a good time.
