The picture of the artists on the masthead makes it a little bit too cluttered and it looks a bit messy.
Quick summary is placed on a medium sized banner just under the titlt to give the reader an idea of what the article is about.
Text is broken down into sections using yellow highlights and lines to make it easier to read.
The title is a bit small and does have that big of an impact on the reader. The little planet behind it has a great affect as it goes well with the theme of the article.
Red, yellow and white are the main colours used and they contrast quite well to make the page eye-catching.
The article looks as if it's a magazine within a magazine which has a nice overall effect and would look good laid out on a table.
Large pull quote encourages the reader to stop and actually read the whole article.
Large photo draws the eye to the article as you flick through the magazine.
The main body of text looks as if it's within a speech bubble which makes it a more personal thing. As if the magazine is directed at you.
The large bold print here is really eye catching and the cross in the O adds a really nice touch and keeps up the ''saving lives'' theme.
The ECG monitor at the top adds some interest to the page and fits with the theme of the article perfectly.
The whole article appears as if it's been printed on graph paper which gives the DPS a nice effect and fits with the theme.
The image is very striking and catches your eye very well but it seems a little gloomy for something that's supposed to be positive. Maybe a happy photo to say ''I've been saved'' would give the page a lot more life.
The pull qoute in the middle breaks up the text and makes it easier to read and encourages readers to read the whole article.
The summary of the article is in red strips to define it and to make it easier to read.
The beginning or each paragraph is marked with red bold text which really breaks down the article into little chunks. The pictures next to the paragraphs also help to do this and give a little more detail about the song being described.
